10-12-2009 paragraph...

Although I wouldn't venture to say that I am an inexperienced writer, I do recognize myself in some of the less polished writers that Nancy Sommer's writes about. Although I strive to put my best foot forward with every piece of writing I do, I sometimes fall victim to the lackadaisical tendencies of these inexperienced writers. My writings are mostly pieces for school, to be graded by my teachers as an assessment of my progress in the course. This of course causes me to be aware of my audience but less concerned with creativity and mostly aware of academic functionality. I believe that if I was given the same free will as the experienced writers in Sommer's article, I too could emerge as a more widely aware writer.
